My junior year, I'll be taking AP Psych, AP English Language, and AP US, plus honors Spanish. Do you think the course load is too great? Also, does anyone have any advice or took any of the aforementioned classes?
Thanks.AP classes help? Advice?
Three AP classes isn't that bad. But just expect to take lots of your ';free-time'; into studying for these classes. Remember that they're college level, so everything will be a step harder than your usual. I only took two in my Junior year (AP Lang and AP US) , and I realized that sometimes I'll have to stay up till 1 or 2 am before I can actually sleep.
Despite all the hard work , I still love taking these classes. I think AP US has been the hardest class I've ever took, but it really depends on the teacher and what you're naturally good at. If you're good with remembering historical events/dates/etc (unlike me) , you'll cruise through AP US with no problem. I personally thought AP Lang was a really fun class. Our teacher makes everything we do enjoyable. English is my second language and I thought that class will be extremely difficult but it turns out to be a good learning experience.AP classes help? I took AP US History this year. Its really not that bad, but you just need to be ready to work really hard in the weeks before the test. The key is to remember as many broad historical concepts as possible, while retaining as many specific details about those concepts as you can. For example, you should make sure you know authors of landmark books, in addition to what the book's significance to society was. You'll cover everything in the class itself, you just need to be sure that you take copious notes and know how to study them. Hope this helps.
Make sure to take AP english. It is the one class that will really help you with college level classes in any area. taking AP classes is important to colleges, but I would really think about going to a honor level in one of the other AP
