Black Death advice, need help?

For an essay, I have to write five bits of advice or information for someone living in 1347. Now, I thought this would of been easy so I left it until the last minute, except now I've had a mind blank and can't think of what to write.

Anyone have any ideas of what to write?

Any help will be appreciated. :)Black Death advice, need help?
You should understand that we get a lot of kids who are just too lazy to even try on their own - hence our frustration.

Bits of advice? Not that it would have been understood back then...

1. Don't deposit your waste in the streets. (This attracts rats)

2. Wash yourself and your clothing (not just the outer garments) regularly. (This helps keep the vermin down generally speaking)

3. Do not minister to the sick!! (That stuff spread like the plague - LOL)

4. If someone in your home starts showing signs of illness, put them in a separate room and do not let them breathe on you.

5. Lastly, fresh air is your friend.Black Death advice, need help?
What the rich did during the Black Death:

Left the towns/cities and went to live in the countryside

Stayed away from other people, particularly travelers and outsiders.

Sit between 2 big fires - this was doctor's advice, and worked because (although they didn't realize it) the flames/heat killed fleas that tried to jump onto the person sitting between the fires.
tough luck.

#1: if you leave your work until too late you're doomed.

#2: trying to get others to do your work for you ain't gonna work

#3: pray for deliverance, but unless you're pious it won't come

#4: fear God, for God has no mercy for sinners and slackers

#5: Do as your betters tell you, and don't try to cheat your way out of your responsibilities

Gosh, could apply to lazy kids who would have others do their homework for them.
read about what actually happened and then start your advice from their. It gives advice on this page of efforts to stop it as well.
