i am currently in an International Baccalaureate (IB) program
i would like to know if i have to do anything like volunteer, take certain tests, etc. to start my journey in becoming a successful med student/premed student and hopefully a doctor

it's really hard, and busy. he never gets any sleep. he has to wake up at 3 am and hurry to the hospital. you should read a lot of books. my dad has 5 bookshelves of medical books. sorry i don't know much, cuz i don't want to become a doctor. but if you need more info i can ask my dad.I want to become a doctor....any advice? Why don't you just speak with your guidance councilor? That's what they are there for.
I'd say talk to your school counselor and ask him or her for advice on what subjects or extracurricular activities you should be involved in. Also, ask for advice on what college or university you should attend to prepare you for a career in medicine. Good luck!
You need to focus on getting into a good pre doctorial program and research medical schools to see if what qualifications that you need. Go to www.princetonreview.com they have a wealth of information.
Medicine is a gratifying career choice. But it is a long journey.
American Medical Schools are keenly interested in Collegiate level academic performance. Additionally, many will also require evidence that the candidate is well rounded.
Most major American Universities have Pre-Medical programs and the best information can be had by talking directly to the the university in question (such as UAB)
Also contact the medical Schools in your area and have them provide you with information.

Help/advice on body kit parts for 98 dodge dakota?
hey, i currently have a all stock 98 v6 dodge dakota. al i did to it so far was put a y-pipe with 1 flowmaster on it, and in the future (a month or so) i wanna go to true duals. anyway....does any one know where i can get body kit parts for a dodge dakota? i looked on ebay and didnt find any. like a lower front bumper, rear bumper, sideskirts? all that fancy stuff. here is a link to what i want it to look like if i can find the parts to do it. So, I've been a vegetarian for about six months and I supported PETA, because I love animals. My love for animals is what made me become a vegetarian in the first place. I've read alot of articles on the website and I don't want to support PETA if this is really what they do. So if you could look at this website and tell me your thoughts and give me some advice it would be much appreciated.Help?? Advice??
PETA is a business. Even organizations that promote worthwhile causes operate like a business. They will always consider what is in the best interest of the company. PETA is huge. It's not some small grassroots campaign. It's big and there is nothing, essentially, wrong with that.
Some people discovered PETA's dirty laundry and aired it out for all to see. Everyone, I would hope, is already aware that PETA can be extreme in it's views and actions. That its advertising campaigns are meant to shock and horrify. There are some people that would classify PETA is a terrorist organization. This is not news.
You should only, ever, do what you think is right. How do you feel about how PETA goes about getting its point across. For me, personally, PETA goes against a lot of what I believe in. Change should come about peacefully, not because some screaming mob harassed school children and women in fur coats. Nobody should be harassed into changing their beliefs.
Do you believe what the website is saying? Do they provide proof? Everyone has an agenda. Anyone can put anything on the internet and make it look official. People should always think for themselves.Help?? Advice??

In fact, I just found one of the tag team postings last night on the Boston Globe website. David Martosko works for Berman's scam operation and is actually in the Penn %26amp; Teller anti-Peta episode (that Penn %26amp; Teller are that easily manipulated and/or in the pockets of big industry and helping them to play us for fools has caused me to lose all respect for them -- better fools than tools).
Under Dave Martosko who is mocking Greenpeace is a comment by Gavin Gibbons commenting for the National Fisheries Institute which is another industry front. He is ironically attempting to throw doubt on a poster by saying that poster is making ad hominems even as his buddy above has made one after another about Greenpeace. This time they're trying to obscure the issue of the collapse of the fish stocks but they've also been very active trying to get people to believe there is no mercury issue or PCBs/Dioxins (Monsanto deals) in fish and they've even tried to convince pregnant women that the harm of mercury isn't worth having mentally delayed children (trying to scare us) which they say can be avoided by eating even more fish (on that one they tried to claim the March of Dimes was behind them).
See, they can't fight the groups like PETA and Greenpeace on facts so they try to do it through mocking. That the industries would resort to these tactics shows just how much more scummy they are.

Help! Advice on giving my 4.5 month old baby rice...?
I'm in a bit of a muddle and I could do with some advice please. My 4.5 month old baby boy was previously drinking 5 x 7 ounce bottles a day = 35 ozs a day but his last feed would be due at about 10.30pm and he wouldn't always wake up for it so we would sometimes wake him up so he could take it and he would not be hungry again until 9.00am the next day. We have tried (from today) to cut out that last bottle because we don't want to wake him when he's asleep and we are going to attempt to give him 4 x 8 ounces instead but that would only = 32 ozs per day so I think he may wake up hungry in the night which is not the answer because we want to stop him having to feed during the night. I am debating whether to reduce his last bottle to about 6ozs and give him a couple of teaspoons of baby rice to keep him satisfied longer but i've always been adamant in saying that I don't want to wean him too early. Has anyone got any advice? And if I was to give his some rice with his last bottle how many ounces should I give him? Is 6 ozs too much? Although I appreciate your opnions i'd rather not have nasty comments please.Help! Advice on giving my 4.5 month old baby rice...?

35 ounces of formula is fine -- it's not too much. If he wants it some days but not others, that's fine. If he only wants 32 ounces, that's ok too. Feed your baby on demand, and let him take what he wants.
I can see no reason to be introducing solids this early since he IS eating a reasonable amount of formula and sleeping a reasonable stretch at night. (It's normal for a 4 month to be taking one night feed, or even more if he goes to bed early.)
If you are set on starting solids, offer his usual bottle (whatever he typically takes), and then offer a half-teaspoon or so of cereal. (From a bowl, with a spoon.) If he likes it and it doesn't upset him, you can gradually increase to a couple of teaspoons or so.Help! Advice on giving my 4.5 month old baby rice...?
It's probably not such a good idea to give too much rice in the bottle, if thats what your saying. My pediatrician told me not to give rice in the bottle so you should ask your ped. for advice, they can tell you whats best for your baby. And it is normal for them to wake up in the middle of the night, so even if you give him rice he may still wake up to eat.
No, no rice in the bottle. Putting solids in the bottle is dangerous, it's a choking hazard, don't do it.
That said, rice bottles before bed do not make baby sleep longer or fill him up more. This is a myth.
Just keep giving him his nighttime bottles. He's too young for solids still, and he should still be waking up at night. He'll be waking up at night to eat for a few more months still. That's normal development.
I'm confused. Are you breast or bottle feeding? “Weaning” is the process of eliminating breastfeeding, not getting your baby off the bottle. Introducing solids IS NOT going to prompt your baby to give up bottle feeding.

She told us to do 2 tablespoons twice a day, and to introduce fruits and vegetables when we wanted so long as we did it by the time she was six months old. She still nurses heartily, and I always nurse before cereal to limit the impact solids has on my supply. I have never and will never put cereal in a bottle because I’ve read it can be a chocking hazard. Just spoon feed

That way you get free PR in the local newspapers, school/college newsletters etc both announcing the competition in the first place and then announcing the winner, perhaps with a photo of you handing the competition winner their prize (which doesn't have to be expensive - how about an MP3 player for a tenner?) and if you get photographed with the winning name/logo being held up too then it gets it in front of people right from the start. then once they start to see your business up and running they will already be familiar with the logo/name etc and your business will have instant credibility.
This is just an idea - adapt it at will!

Internist treating complicated conditions versus family practice doc advice...please help!?
my internist is treating my heart failure, Diabetes, hyptertension, and pulmonary fibrosis and HIV. I was told by my family practicioner that I need to be referred to other subspecialists. I told my internist and he said no referral. I am confident in his management. what should i do? listen to the family practice doc or listen to my internist? why did the family doc tell me to seek other subspecialists if my internist is competent?Internist treating complicated conditions versus family practice doc advice...please help!?
The internist is an MD with a specialty in internal medicine. So he can still treat any medical condition if he so desires. Maybe your GP thinks you should see specialists that specialize in each condition you have. That is silly if one doctor can competently treat them all. From what I've learned so far in med school, I know it would be impossible for any one person to know everything there is to medicine so your family physician's recommendation for referrals to subspecialists is sound. On the other hand, a doctor's diagnoses are often influenced by the information they're most comfortable with so you may get 5 different treatment plans from 5 different subspecialists. I think the criteria you should use to determine if you should seek subspecialists lies in how well the internist is managing your symptoms and keeping your body functioning. If you're doing fine as you mentioned and he's the meticulous type that doesn't cut you off when you talk to him about your condition, you should probably be okay until you develop some serious complication that you'll want to see a subspecialist for. Heart failure, diabetes, and hypertension are all common enough for an average internist to see enough and be competent in. I'd be on the lookout for any problems that come out of your pulmonary fibrosis or HIV though, because they're far less common so your internist may not be as aware of the most recent advances in therapies.

Ask her (or him) about products. And tease tease tease! Backcombing is a nice way to add volume. (Don't know what backcombing is? look it up on google) :)

Vista Help/Advice?
If I get these specs w/ vista and turn down all the graphics such as turning into a a classical theme, etc. Will I be able to run it fast as XP for programming.

I live in CA and I applied for rental apartment in ca care management group which wll qualify you for rent based on the income you earn. I work two jobs one is seasonal and the other one is yearly twice they calculated my income wrong as they assume I am working full time at both jobs. Even after they got verification from my employers they denied my file . then they realise their mistake and ask me to do a self affitaved and get it notorised about my work details The whole process took more than 6 weeks .
I am approvedand ready to move they told me my rent will be 1378 where as initally it was only 1140 which disappointed me by such increase and the delay was due to their mistake now I have to vacate mycurrent residence in 5 days I am not sure how to deal with such situation the manger of the property said this is the rent now . where as same group other properties are saying rent are increasing on may 1st onwarsds.This manger is trying to rent property at higher rent.pleaseadviceHi I need help Please Advice what to do?

Have you checked the classifieds and looked in neighborhoods nearby ? Is that really the best rate rent ?
Whatever the landlord says they are charging, they charge and can raise it next month even if they give you lower rate today.
You might be better off looking for a lease from a regular landlord than the government affiliated one.

Puppy help! Advice!!!!!?
Hi I have a 3 month old maltese/shih tzu mix and she's not like other puppies/dogs at all! You know how other dogs get excited when you baby talk with them or when you tell me to come and such, well they get so happy and excited but my puppy doesnt I dont know why
I dont want her to be like that =/ Yet shes always biting everything and i cant get her to stop i dont know whats wrong???Puppy help! Advice!!!!!?

I'm on my second puppy, so I have a little experience with some of the issues you mentioned. I don't claim that my advice will solve your all your problems but it might help. I suggest that you enroll your puppy in a puppy training class at your local Pet Co or Pet Smart. Your puppy needs to learn basic commands such as sit, stay, no, come, etc., but your puppy needs help in developing his social skills, both with other dogs, and with people. Your puppy may be fearful or unsure and can do nothing but benefit from a puppy class. If nothing else, the trainer will help you learn to deal with the different issues that your puppy has, and the root of some of those issues might be entirely different from how you perceive them. I took three different classes with my young puppy and I'm so, so glad that I did. I hope this helps, and good luck with your little friend.Puppy help! Advice!!!!!?
it may just be her personality. Many dogs do get excited when baby-talked.... but some dogs do not. I would just try not to baby-talk him and do something that makes him happier. If she is still sad, it may be a sickness she has had for a while. You could even ask an animal specialist to help you make her even happier at home! She could just be one of those dogs who is interested in other things.... like mine. Hope this helps a lot!!!
Your pup is probably adjusting to her new environment. Dont worry its normal for pups to act like that. However, if you catch her in the act of biting, firmly say ';No';. She'll get the idea just be consistent.
maybe she is shy i have a jack russell who never went through the puppy stage at all he never bit or chewed things up and never got excited and never peed in the house or any thing wich was wierd since i got him at 5 weeks. but hes fine now
She may not have been well socialized by the breeder which sadly happens and the puppies need more time with people to get use to them and open up.
has she had her vaccinations and wormings up to date?
Lol dont worry all pupppys go through it my pupppy did. Just say in stearn words no or baa thing like that trust me it works!!

I was sore for a few days afterwards, but it's very bearable, it's kind of like a headache, nothing that panadol won't fix. I had clear on the top and metal braces on the bottom row of my teeth. Try to avoid hard foods for a few days, apples, ice, pizza crusts %26amp; popcorn are all no-no's once you get your braces on. Also sticky lollies and bubblegum as they get stuck everywhere. If your braces start to rub on your cheeks and cause ulcers make sure you put some wax over the brackets, it will help with the irritation caused by the friction, hope this helps!Please help. advice for braces tomorrow!?
Green and purple are good colors. Do NOT get white. It can get stained and turns yellowy and just looks gross. Silver and purple and blue and pink are all good colors. They are really sore but only for a few days. You can eat pudding, soup, ice cream, and other soft stuff. (That's what I did.) Good luck with braces! They aren't as bad as everyone says they are. ;]
the first few days, your teeth are tender and sensitive. i was sore for about a day, but if you take tylenol, you will be fine. you cant eat anything hard.. just stick with pudding or ice cream for a while. best of luck :*)

Okay I am going to NYC and I am flying in to LGA and taking a cab to my Upper West Side hotel, on 102nd Street. I am guessing that will be around $40-$50 total. Is that about right?
Also, I am flying out of Newark Airport.
Since, subway is obviously the cheapest, how do I go about doing that? Would I go to have to go to Grand Central Station on 42nd street in order to catch the subway that takes you to Newark Airport?

Your taxi cost estimate should be fine and cover the tip as well, hard to say exactly since traffic can make a difference. You can avoid that uncertainty by using a car service like Dial7, which you can call from courtesy phones at the airport or at 212-777-7777. Their fare to Manhattan from LGA is $31 for a regular sedan.
There's not a subway line that goes to Newark, actually, (they're only in NYC) so you have to start on the subway and then transfer to commuter rail.
You can start from the Times Square station, and take the A, C, E, 1, 2, or 3 lines to Penn Station. Any of those will do, the lines shown in blue or red on the subway map. At Penn, follow the signs to New Jersey Transit, and take either the Northeast Corridor or the North Jersey Coast Line (just choose based on what's leaving sooner) heading to Long Branch (fare should be about $15 with the ';access fee'; to the airport). Stay on until the Newark International Airport stop, and transfer to the AirTrain. Expect the whole trip to take a little more than an hour.Subway help advice please?!?!?

i do this ride all the time: all you have to do is take the M60 bus (directly from the LGA terminals), and just stay on it all the way to the last stop, which is at West 106th Street between West End Avenue and Broadway, and from there it's less than a 5 minute walk to West 102nd Street and any avenue you have to go to. it'll take a little longer than a cab, maybe 30-45 minutes, but you save yourself a ton of money, and you don't have to worry about missing your stop because the driver will kick you out at the last stop!
now, to get to EWR, first thing to remember is that the NYC Subway does NOT cross any state lines, so you can either take an Airport Shuttle van from your hotel that runs to Newark, or do one of the following:
take the downtown #1 train at 103rd Street (or the C train, if you're closer to the Central Park West subway line) to 42nd Street / Times Square (or 42nd Street / 8th Avenue), where you can take a Newark Airport bus at the Port Authority Bus Terminal; or,

The cab fare from LGA to the 102nd Street on the Upper West Side should cost a little bit more. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 to $55.

I told her she should stop hanging out with them and she said she would... she now has a better relationship with them than she did before! How do i tell her i can't stand you hanging around with them anymore and they are bad influences! I don't want to hurt her feelings by telling her that! HELP!Friend help/ advice! please!?
just tell her how much of a bad influence they are.. and tell her why you think that. by doing that, you are being a good friend. she may be like 'oh whatever, they aren't a bad influence..' and if she's like that, then let her be. you can't keep her from not talking to certain people. hopefully down the road she will realize those are the kind of people she doesn't want to be friends with.

Ok, so I used the last clean fork yesterday. I was going to make myself something to eat. Probably some Easy Mac. The thing is, I dont have anything to eat or stir it with. I would use my fingers, but its too hot.

do the dishes... use another untensel.... spoon, knife anything really. if you have a chop stick or straw you can stir and scoop it out
you can put it into a cup and drink it...

2006 Honda Civic SI help advice!!?
Well im looking into buying a used Honda Civic SI its had about 65000 miles on it, and the dealer brought the price down to 14900, im in love with the car and i dont even own it yet. I just want someone who knows anything about thses care to tell mw what they think about it.

I think the price seems good but you have to remember unless the dealer quoted you out the door at 14900 its actually gonna be more around 16300 because of tax title and license fees which are roughly 10% of the cost. I bought my 07 civic si with 19,000 miles on it for 16,000 I talked them down from 21,000 clean car fax and 1 previous owner. most places want to sell cars right now so you will get a good deal. keep trying to talk it down but the price seems good I would go for 14900 out the door flat. It's a great car though very happy with mine I'm up to 36,000 miles and it still runs as strong as when I got it, they will last you forever. i was arrested in january and although the charge was a felony i cooperated and it was instantly brought down to a misdemenor/summonse .it was 3 charges and the victims dropped 2 out of 3 and i plead guilty to one.the judge gave me a 175 fine to pay on june 30 of this yr and i havent paid it,i recieved a letter that said that a bench warrant was issued for my arrest.i want to pay it now(sick in the hospital for 3 weeks hence the non payment at the deadline set) but i dont know if the fine is the same or if have penalties and fees to pay with the warrant?soon after my arrest and release i moved out of state(new jersey to alaska)Can anyone offer legal help/advice?

Okay, so I have REALLY thick and frizzy/puffy hair. The only time I wear my hair down or in a pony is when its straight, otherwise I wear it in a bun.
I really get SO frustrated because everyone in my school has nearly perfect hair. I dont even know how to express how ANNOYING it is to have my hair I HATE IT!!!!
So, can you tell me what I'm doing wrong??? I've tried EVERYTHING:
1. Wash hair then let it dry naturally
2. Wash hair then dry with blow dryer
3. Wash hair and put in leave in conditioner
4. Wash hair and put gel (this has worked a few times, but leaves my hair really hard and flakey...)
All I want to know is how to get a nice natural look without any frizz or poofyness!!!!!

weee lol, just go to a hair salon to ask them do fix your hair, or else cut it off or real short are the easiest solutions
I have the same kind of hair as you! The suggestions about getting it thinned at each haircut are absolutely right. And you have to just plan on spending a lot of time on your hair if you want it to look pretty. I round-brush mine and flat-iron it every other day and it takes at least 30 minutes. Ask your stylist to show you how to do it, and use the same hair products they use. Get regular haircuts. Then some days when you don't have time to do it you can still wear it in a curly ponytail or wear a hat :-) . Thick frizzy hair takes a lot of practice and patience, but when you get it right, nobody will look better!
Toni you need to go get your hair thinned.....
After thinning get some Patenne Gel and let it hang in the loose curly look.

it's damaged. you can't do anything just try not to pull on it and stuff. let it grow out and cut the damaged part
well you can go to your hairdresser and ask her to THIN it out. there are special thinning sheers that thin your hair out. kinda like layers! you can do a chemical straightener. i have tried maintamer (possibly spelt differently) but it worked wonders. it made my hair feel really soft. and i'm not sure if you use a flat iron or not but i personally would not be able to live without my flat iron. invest in a really good one.

i actually just went on my first interview a few days ago..itwas at chick fil-a so they might not be the same..they asked me questions about my application..they asked about my refrences.i talked about prev.work like babysitting and such.They will ask you about school and what your goals are.They also ask about what you do with your free time..think about what your gonna say to these type of questions so that you will be some what prepared!so just be honest and put a smile on and you will do fine..and dont worry they werent even hiring at the place i applied for and i still got the job because of the interview.so good luck and try not to be nervous=))First job interview-any help/advice?!?

tell your bf that you feel a little awkward with him being alone w/ his ex. make it clear that you trust him, but you just would like him to reassure you that he is totally over her. im sure it will be fine, im good friends with some of my ex's but i couldnt even imagine getting with them. how did it end and who ended it are important things to find out, but make sure your not obvious about this as you dont want him getting annoyed or thinking you dont trust him. good luck x

Anything anyone can tell me about how their first day on chantix went? I'm wary of taking meds that haven't been out very long, and I'm a bit of a hypochondriac, so I just want to know more of what to expect, even though I've read the side effects. Thanks!Starting on Chantix today. help/advice?
I took it.....A little expensive but all worth it. It was almost instant for me it took the earge away almost instant....i didnt want to smoke so i would put the cig out. I think its great. Also there is one or two minor things that happened to me but it wasnt that bad. I had problems getting to sleep and when i did go to slepp i has the most silly dreams....but My hubby and i both tried it and we have been smoke free for 2 yrs now....its great to be free from smoke. Nothing will make it come, don't be afraid.If you do go to the ';special doctor'; about it, all she's going to do is probably put you on like a pill to regulate it. Sometimes nothing can be wrong, you're just a late bloomer other times the doctors do stuff so it'll make it all better. Don't freak out just relax, breathe.I need some girl help/advice?

your doctor should know that you can get your period at the age of 16. like i have a 2 friends 1 of them was 17 and didnt get her period yet cause she was into sports. and the other 1 was just so lazy that she didnt get hers lol so i say try doing a little bit of both.

Stop stressing for one. Go to a GNC (nutrition store) the staff are wonderful and ask for a supplement to aid in the hormones. Your hormones may just be delayed or needing a boost. Some say the pill helps but I would try the alternative method first.

My daughter and her husband are going thru a rough patch. So my daughter decided to move out and buy a house on her own. Everything was going fine until we found that her husband also has to sign a waiver form on the property. Not sure who is responsible to notify us regarding this but We were not aware of this until the last moment. Now my son-in-law is not ready to sign the waiver. Now the seller and his agent are planning to sue my daughter because we are unable to close the escrow. We tried to negotiate with my son-in-law but things did not go well. Can anyone help us here and tell us the options we have right now. we certainly dont want the lawsuit and we are already losing money that was paid as deposit for the contingency period...Help with ur advice...couldnt complete escrow, losing money and facing lawsuit.. what are the options??
I don't understand this. It sounds like the husband and wife have separated. What law requires a separated husband to sign a waiver on property that the wife is buying on her own? Or was she still with him when she made the purchase offer? That might complicate matters. What jurisdiction are you in? Can you call the nearest law school and ask if a student can look up appropriate law? Some law schools will take the odd problem like this as a learning exercise. They don't act as lawyers, but can sometimes supply the appropriate laws. Some law firms offer a free initial consultation as well. That could be a course of action to investigate. 15 minutes free with a lawyer may point you to a solution. You already know that you'll receive answers directing you to a RE attorney.
That said see if you can hire one on a flat fee basis to investigate the options and contract.
Search Martindale Hubble for an attny. that specializes in RE and is located in your area.

If your daughter signed it alone, AND it had a contingency for being able to get financing, AND she's unable to go through because they won't finance it without hubby's participation.... then not only will they not sue, she MAY be entitled to her earnest money back (she'd have to have notified them properly within the required period.)
It's most likely that she didn't do that, but that the contract limits the Seller to keeping the deposit in a case of Buyer's breach.

first of all, ur body isn't gonna stop growing, even if ur height does.....don't worry so much about ur appearance. although appearance is important in the media, it's defintly not everything!!! but, if u want ur chest to look bigger, don't wear low cut tops or tops with lots of patterns......i think solid tops would look more flattering, and would make ur chest look, well, not so flat......but don't worry about it so much........if it helps, is ur mom a size 32A? prolly not, u'll prolly end up with close to the same size as her....well, u know.......yeah, kinda awkward, but it's usually true.......
I am also a teenage girl. It just takes time. Some grow faster than others but you will get there. Just be Patient.

So here the story goes. I met this girl online and have been talking to her for quite some time now and have fallen in love with her. I've registered my daughter in Girl Guides and offered my help as a leader. During the 1st meeting I found myself being the ONLY leader!! I was a GG myself (many yrs ago) but I don't think I could RUN a GG troop on my own.
With out me the 5 girls won't have a troop AT ALL, but with me - will they really be getting the 'real experience'? I've read the hand book and I'd prefer to do it with help, but none is available. In November I will go on a training course for leaders, but for the moment I can't offer anything other than my time. I don't even know how to ';open'; a meeting!! The only ressources given to me were the GG handbook and the Leaders handbook, no songs, no games, no other imput until November.My question goes out to parents of girls in the program and present or past GG leaders.
Should I stick with it and try to teach the girls the program (be prepared) or save their time and money for a different activity? (That's $75 for each child)

Last tuesday i sprained my ankle whilst falling down the stairs. Today and last night i've stared walking ( or should i say hobbling!) on it, and seems to be getting better everyday. The swelling ans bruising isnt so bad either. But my dad wants me to get an x-ray just so make sure it isnt broken. I'm TERRIFIED of hospitals! are there any excersizes i can do at home to see if it is broken? please any advice would be welcome.Advice and Help Needed please?

take advil or tylenol for pain relief it is really bad
you can soak your ankle in salts in the tub

There is not much you can do but go to a doctor to make sure its not broken and see a Physical therapist to make sure its not torn through.
Once you have sprained it ... it will always have that problem because you have already stretch the ligaments. If its not broken then you have to get on it and work it out.

Elevation leg above heart when laying down
SEE A DOCTOR either for the pain or to make sure its not broken.
There is no Exercises for you to tell if its broken. You need a professional to have a look and help you. A sports clinic or Physical therapist can give you a better opinion
dont be ridiculous. if you can put any weight on it then its not broken. if the swelling has been going down, it will get better. you fell, this happens! tell your dad it isnt broken..

look at it this way. If it is broken then it will only get worst. then they may have to re-break it and you will have to go ( no chose). but if you go now then hopefully its nothing . Hospitals can be scary but they are there to help you as best they can. so take your dad with you a good book to read and get it sorted.

My female cat (spayed) is now too stupid to pee in the box. I moved their box to a more secluded location and now she has decided to go outside of it. My male cat, who is considerably older than her is probably upset by this but does not bother ';competitive'; peeing - at least, that we can tell. She will even do it in front of you! The pee has saturated my carpet leaving the odor and I have attempted to scrub it will all types of carpet cleaner (using a machine, too) and cat enzymes, etc. to no avail. The female is my daughter's kitty - she is otherwise sweet, kind and wonderful to play with- what do I do? I even put the cat box back to original location!!! Generally when a cat does this, and never used to before, it indicates that there could be a health issue with her. Could be a urinary tract infection and it bothers her to go in the box. It could be a lot of things. I would take her to the vet for a check up to make sure everything is ok.

It sounds very much like your cat has urinary crystals which can cause a blockage and which are very painful. That is why they pee everywhere BUT the litterbox, they associate the pain of the crystals and the pain of peeing with the litterbox.
They are similiar to passing kidney stones in humans. They are usually caused by too much ash in the dry food, or too much magnesium in fish.
She should be taken to the vet to have her checked. It could just be a behavior problem, but it doesn't sound like it.
The crystals can be desolved with medicine and a special diet. I would also watch your male cat. If a male cat gets a blockage, it is fatal if not caught in time. A female has a bigger 'water spout' so she can pass the crystals with treatment. It is not usually fatal in females, just very painful.
For the pet odors I would try too things...
1) If you haven't tried it already, get some of the pet Febreeze...it works wonders.
2) If that doesn't work there is a product called ';Greased Lightning.'; You can get it in a spray bottle. We used it every day at the veterinarian clinic that I used to work at.
To get your cat to behave... You are first going to have to do some major repair work on the odor. The reason that cats go to a litter box to begin with is because they pee where there is already ammonia (which is in the litter). After you get rid of the pee residue it will be easier to retrain her. There are products out there that deter pee in certain places... You might ask your vet about that.
Any time that I have either moved or even simply moved the litter box I carry both of mine to it and physically sit them there. I am not sure if this has prevented them from taking it upon themselves to pee other places or not, but they have never gone somewhere other than the box.

Now, put the female cat in a small room (like a bathroom) and put food, water, and HER litter box in there. You will need to keep her in there for 4 or 5 days. Sorry. If you want this to stop, this is the only way I know how. After removing female from area, get more enzyme cleaner. If you used it before and it did not work, you used it incorrectly, or you bough a bad brand. I use (pet stain and odor remover) from walmart. It tells you on the package to wet area and let it dry naturally. Do not do that. Saturate the area and make it really wet. DO NOT blot any of it up. Let the area dry naturally. It should be wet for several hours for it to work properly. Do this in every area of you house that she used as a litter box. Do not let her out of the bathroom, until all of the old urine places are dry. Once done, put her litter box next to the males litter box. Hopefully, this will solve your problem. I have 11 cats in the house, and sometimes, one has to be retrained. Also, make sure that the litter is cleaned daily. If using scoopable litter, scoop it several times a day.

Lastly, clean out the litter box 1-2 times a day. Cats are neat little creatures, and if the litter box is even slightly dirty, they'll go else where.

My other half has got this blackberry and I know he's up to something cause he wont show it to me Its password protected (he won't even tell me the password), I have suspicions cause (I know its bad) but I checked his mobile and he had been texting someone at his work, and it wasn't work related, but when I confront him he denies it. Since last year he has changed a lot, for example, he never used to shower every day even though I asked him to, He used to wear the same shirt for 2 days etc. I could go on. His attitude towards the children sometimes sucks. My main question is I suppose is how can I get into his blackberry. He has a lead that connects to the computer, but with that require a password. i cannot say for sure if he is cheating on you or not, but the question you need to ask yourself is if you still want to be with him, no matter the outcome of your suspicion? if you do, try some of these tips which i tried and it worked and is still working for me, not that my hubby was cheating, but we both had starting to get bored, so we spiced things up a bit.
1. stop snooping around, he probably knows you are snooping, that will get him angrier.
2. start being nicer to him.
3. if you really love him, belive what he tells you and tell him you belive he is not cheating on you.
4. be less confrontational and aggressive, you are probably pushing him away from you.
5. make him look forward to coming back home from work, good food, nice conversation (listen to him and pay attention as he tells you how his day went).
6. get nice underwears and nighties and give him loads and loads of sex.
7. praise him and point out his goods rather than bads.

It sounds like you don't trust him any way, never mind about the Blackberry. I'd say trust your instincts and (in agreement with another contributor) be all sweetness and light to him. YOU make a change too, either he'll realise what he's missing, or he'll continue to play away - if that's what he's doing. It does happen - they get to a stage where a pretty face tempts them. It may just be a bit of flirtation, but it can lead to other things. It doesn't mean he doesn't love you, he may just be a bit bored. Be nice to him, try to stop being suspicious (even though you are) and let him make his own way back to you in his own time. If he doesn't, then you need to decide what you want to do.

i cannot say for sure if he is cheating on you or not, but the question you need to ask yourself is if you still want to be with him, no matter the outcome of your suspicion? if you do, try some of these tips which i tried and it worked and is still working for me, not that my hubby was cheating, but we both had starting to get bored, so we spiced things up a bit.
1. stop snooping around, he probably knows you are snooping, that will get him angrier.
2. start being nicer to him.
3. if you really love him, belive what he tells you and tell him you belive he is not cheating on you.
4. be less confrontational and aggressive, you are probably pushing him away from you.
5. make him look forward to coming back home from work, good food, nice conversation (listen to him and pay attention as he tells you how his day went).
6. get nice underwears and nighties and give him loads and loads of sex.
7. praise him and point out his goods rather than bads.
even if he is currently cheating on you, he will realize that what he is looking for outside, he can get at home. good luck.Help/advice needed please..?

well number one thing dont try to snoop into his blackberry or anything else that will just drive him farther away from you, you wouldnt want him going on your email address snooping on you would you? Have you ever thought hes just texting a friend for fun? and why are you upset that he takes a shower everyday be happy he doesnt smell and changes everyday! i think your being overly paranoid and if you keep snooping like this your relationship will be over
Trust your gut, what good would snooping really do? If you feel something is wrong then believe in yourself to be strong enough to do what you need to do.
I am afraid I also (from UK) have never heard of a blackberry but assume it's a devise in which he can work on line with the privacy of you not snooping.
It does sound suspicious i am afraid. I don't think you are getting anywhere by asking him as he is in denying it and will continue to do so.
Is he late home from work and having to go out more?
You could hire a private detective if finances allow.
Contact the company that make those blackberry and say you have forgotten your pass code and how can you open the blackberry.
If his attitude towards you and the kids have changed then maybe you need to have this all out with him and ask him outright if he wants to end the marriage%26gt; I know that will be hard for you BUT this suspicion is going to end your marriage anyway.
Might be good to cut your losses now?
You could always destroy the blackberry or throw it away!

But what does show via your question, is that there is a situation of a lack of trust. Whether or not that is justified is the question, now isn't it?? I think you're going to have to have a confrontation about your feelings, else you'll be going round the twist!! Good luck with finding out. Hope it's not bad news.

I understand your concern. You shouldn't have to play 'who is she?' Don't play games with your and your kids life. You need to sit down with him and seriously question him of his intentions. Share with him of your thoughts. Ask him if he seeking a divorce? Let him know that you're not going to play investigator, because you expect him to be open and truthful.
Listen to me: you want to know if he's having an affair? It doesn't matter who he suppose to be involve with! The point is where do you and your kids stand in his life? Have your kids to eat dinner in their room and explain that it's important that you talk. Speak low and very direct. Explain to him that you're not going to keep wondering day after day who he is involve with? You just want the truth to come from his mouth! But you must give him a chance to explain why is behavior is so suspicious and odd.

You need to have a serious talk with your partner.Your children have aright to a father and you have a right to know whats going on for the sake of your marriage and kids.You might be better off without him.

It sounds like you don't trust him any way, never mind about the Blackberry. I'd say trust your instincts and (in agreement with another contributor) be all sweetness and light to him. YOU make a change too, either he'll realise what he's missing, or he'll continue to play away - if that's what he's doing. It does happen - they get to a stage where a pretty face tempts them. It may just be a bit of flirtation, but it can lead to other things. It doesn't mean he doesn't love you, he may just be a bit bored. Be nice to him, try to stop being suspicious (even though you are) and let him make his own way back to you in his own time. If he doesn't, then you need to decide what you want to do.
