Advice and Help Needed please?

Hi,


Last tuesday i sprained my ankle whilst falling down the stairs. Today and last night i've stared walking ( or should i say hobbling!) on it, and seems to be getting better everyday. The swelling ans bruising isnt so bad either. But my dad wants me to get an x-ray just so make sure it isnt broken. I'm TERRIFIED of hospitals! are there any excersizes i can do at home to see if it is broken? please any advice would be welcome.Advice and Help Needed please?
ice pack on and off, every 15 minutes... to reduce swelling





take advil or tylenol for pain relief it is really bad





you can soak your ankle in salts in the tub





or get arnica cream (natural health food store) to help with if you have any bruising or achesAdvice and Help Needed please?
There is not much you can do but go to a doctor to make sure its not broken and see a Physical therapist to make sure its not torn through.


Once you have sprained it ... it will always have that problem because you have already stretch the ligaments. If its not broken then you have to get on it and work it out.

Ice x15-20 min at a time


Compression


Elevation leg above heart when laying down


SEE A DOCTOR either for the pain or to make sure its not broken.





There is no Exercises for you to tell if its broken. You need a professional to have a look and help you. A sports clinic or Physical therapist can give you a better opinion
dont be ridiculous. if you can put any weight on it then its not broken. if the swelling has been going down, it will get better. you fell, this happens! tell your dad it isnt broken..

if it was broken. just a very bad sprain
look at it this way. If it is broken then it will only get worst. then they may have to re-break it and you will have to go ( no chose). but if you go now then hopefully its nothing . Hospitals can be scary but they are there to help you as best they can. so take your dad with you a good book to read and get it sorted.


I use to be scared of the dentist but it beats tooth ache any time. what I'm trying to say is there are many things in life we don't like and we need to cross each one as it comes to us.
