Do braces hurt?? And if so any advice to help the pain?

im getting mine put on tomorrow and im nervous!!!! help!!!Do braces hurt?? And if so any advice to help the pain?
when you first get them on they might not put the wire on right away. i hade no wire on for like a month. in the beginning when your mouth is just getting used to it it can hurt but it gets better over time. if you are in pain just take some ibeprofen (sorry bad spelling) and avoid hard food for a couple days. the pain eventually goes away. if or when you get rubberbands or a chain be prepaired for your mouth to be sore. i was really nervous too but its really not that bad. good luck and i hope i helped :DDo braces hurt?? And if so any advice to help the pain?
depends on what kind of braces you get. The clear ones don't hurt very much, just when they put new wire in and that doesn't hurt very much, you're mouth will be kind of sore, but you can use ice or freeze pops to stop the soreness :-)

Getting braces on doesn't have so much of the 'ow' factor, as the 'i'm bored and my mouth is dry' factor.
they wont hurt right away, but a few hours later and for the next couple days. but, just take some ibuprofen or advil or whatever and you'll be okay. you just won't beable to eat hard stuff.

Then everytime you get them tightened they will hurt a little bit, but it depends on how many changes they make. But it wont hurt nearly as bad as when you first get them on.
Well, not when you get them right on. Only after.

They shouldn't hurt after a few days pass, but just on those days when they hurt, run cold/hot water over them for some temporary relief (whatever feels better to you)

Also: ******EAT EVERYTHING SOFT****** milkshakes, soup (it might even hurt to chew the noodles, be careful), ice cream, nothing you even have to chew.

Also, buy some orajel (numbing medicine) or somethingelse to put on your gums.
they dont hurt right after you get them on. they hurt about an hour after. just take some tylenol, advil, or ibuprofen. it should really help the pain. the hurt for about a week then the pain goes away. then they only hurt when you get them tightened for a couple days. hope this helps. good luck.
dont b nervious youll b fine :)

no they dont hurt when you get them on..my ortho. recomended i take an advil an hour before i went in (idk if it helps) but anyways they are sore the day after so just eat soft food for a couple days. its not really a big deal or anything to worry about..its not like unbearable pain, just a little sore a couple days after....dont worry i got through it so u can 2

hope it helps :)
