W.O.W. Paladin gear Help & Advice?

Im am really a noob at this game even though i Have a lvl 55 pally. People ask me all the time, why am i wearing plate to heal, or where is your right gear. I have no idea what they mean by that. What is the right gear to heal? When getting stuff from the AH what should I look for? I have just been getting the highest armor value. At that lvl u should start looking for parts of the Lightforge Armor set. Some parts are BOE and can be bought but most of its BOP, and the main parts%26lt; head, chest, legs%26gt; are all boss drops. Try to find armor with added effets such as:


Increases healing spells and ablitlies by/up to X


Also try and get armor for stats as well not just.. well armor.


Depending on your spec %26lt;talent tree selaction%26gt; adjust accordingly, ie if your holy get stats stuff to boost mana, if you protection boost stamina %26amp; defense and if your ret boost strenth and mana.. The high lvl spells take a lot, specialy if your using em in a combo.... Yours,the psycho of the silver hand, Wildphoenix of Steamwhedle Cartel, the smashadin paladin.
okay with using magic for healing and stuff spirt and intellect come in to play majorly the effect the efficence of the spell and how fast you can lvl up too
well.. Intellect increases your toatal amount of mana..

How could you possibly be level 55 and not know? Did you buy your account from Ebay?
If you going to be a straight up paladin healer or ';healadin'; spec heavy in holy. You are going to need a big mana pool so look for gear that has a lot of intellect. Spirit will help your mana regenerate quicker, as will casting blessing of wisdom on yourself while being a dedicated healer.





The person who called your gear in question is somewhat right. There is not alot of healing type plate armor at your level. As you get higher into the 60s and up to 70 more healadin plate become available. It is not uncommon for healer paladins to forgo plate armor for healer specific mail, leather, or even cloth armor. The biggest stat you are looking for as you get higher in levels is bonus spell damage or bonus healing from spells. Usually healing specific items give more bonus than those that are made for damage and healing. There are many options made for restoration druids or shamans that would be a good choice. Just make sure there isn't someone that needs that piece of armor more than you do. I tend to stay away from wearing cloth unless I really need to because things hit much harder when you are in cloth armor. Also I wouldn't replace your big three pieces (chest, helm, legs) unless you really need to because that is where you are going to take the biggest hit in armor. Paladin healing tends to pull more aggro because it's very hard to for us to dump aggro.





So as a run down of things you should be looking for as instance drops or off the AH for ';healing gear';:


Plate armor that has high intellect and spirit or mana regeneration (restores x mana per 5 sec)


Plate/mail/leather armor that gives ';increases healing done by spells by ####'; or ';increases damage and healing done by spells by ####';
